US-UK will provide more assistance to Rohingyas

The United Kingdom and the United States have announced another $ 4.6 million aid to Myanmar-affected Rohingyas.
After the new assistance, the UK government has pledged to give a total of 30 million pounds ($ 42 million), which will be spent for Rohingya victims in Myanmar and Bangladesh.
The United States will also pay more USD 60 million through the US Agency for International Development (USAID), which will be funded by the United Nations World Food Organization (WFP) with assistance from Rohingyas.
A nine-member delegation led by UK State Minister for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs Mark Field and State Minister for International Assistance, Alistair Brout, told about the financial assistance by meeting with Disaster Management and Relief Minister Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya and Relief Secretary Shah Kamal in the Secretariat on Thursday.
Minister Maya later told reporters that the UK announced 5.9 million pounds assistance for the Rohingya who took shelter in Bangladesh. They will give another 30 million pounds and will continue to help in the future.
 
"Their (the state's state minister) said, the problem is in Myanmar, they have to solve this problem. With respect, they will have to return home with their citizenship. They say that the United Kingdom will be beside Bangladesh. "Meanwhile, US Ambassador Masha Bernichot met the Relief Minister on September 20 at the Secretariat and pledged $ 200 million assistance for Rohingya.
In a press release of the US embassy in Dhaka on Thursday, another USD 6 million aid was announced through USAID.
The United States announced this year's assistance of roughly ten million and a million dollars for Rohingyas, the release said, the money spent on the USAID is being spent on Cox's Bazar through various programs.
