The only solution to send Rohingya back to Myanmar: Robert Watkins

United Nations Resident Coordinator Robert Watkins, who is in Dhaka to solve the Rohingya crisis, said the only solution for sending Rohingya back to Myanmar is the solution. The United Nations Security Council discussed the matter. In addition, sending them back to the UN session in the Rohingya crisis will be discussed. Robert Watkins met with State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam in the Foreign Ministry on Sunday.

He said this after meeting with the journalists. State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam said that during the current session of the United Nations, more correct and timely decisions will be taken to solve the Rohingya crisis.
Watkins said further that during the discussion on the Rohingya issue at the meeting, we have learned that since 4th August, there have been 4 lakhs 19 thousand Rohingyas. We discussed for humanitarian assistance.
He said the United Nations has sought international assistance from the United Nations for the aid of Rohingyas. Regarding the Rohingyas coming to Bangladesh, it is not easy to think about it, we must remember that for many years Rohingya have come here. They also have to help. It's a tough job. |
